Hardwell has been consistently bringing the fire for a while now. This track is no different. We threw the intensely cool preview up on our facebook page a while ago, and I've been waiting for it to get released ever since. AutoErotique is probably one of the most underrated electro-house groups out there. They consistently put out banging, floor crushing tracks yet somehow no one really seems to know who they are. I found this filthy remix of theirs in, of all places, one of Tiesto's Club Life mixes. Head over to AutoErotique's facebook page to find out more about them if you're not already in the know. TJR is back again to follow up his 'One Love' Bob Marley remix (which is still in the beatport top 10) with another awesome dancefloor reworking of a classic track. This time it's the 90's hip hop jam 'California Love' that gets the TJR treatment. The second drop in particular is really fresh to me, this track is prime for any party-rocking dj set.

Tim Green has quickly established himself as one of our favorite producers of all things deeper and groovier house at Bright & Shiny, and this Friendly Fires remix is a perfect example of why we love him. At almost 9 minutes long, this track demonstrates TG's unique ability to subtley layer and build to take you on a journey over the course of a song. Beyond that, the lush analog synths paired with the funky Friendly Fires vocals make this track a feel good jam that deserves a spot on any down tempo playlist.

So the website's back in working order (shoutout to our boy Winston) everybody. We know these last 20 hours or so have been excruciatingly painful, so here's a few tunes that should turn that frown right upside down.
I thought RipTide only did over-the-top electro with loads of bass, but after hearing this remix I guess I was definitely wrong. The vibes on this one are great all the way through and every layer is tastefully organized. A really good blend of indie-dance with some electro stylings. The whole EP this one comes from is stacked from top to bottom, including an awesome Bart B More remix. Check it out on beatport HERE.

I'm always pleased when songs from back in the day resurface as more up to date, and equally good, remixes to find a new life. Such is the power of electronic music. I love when I can associate a good song with a good memory and I can’t listen to this one without imagining myself back in the Carl Cox tent being a loon. Good times. The original of this didn’t strike me as anything that special, not to mention it’s just a rip off of “Original Challenge” by Umek and Tomy DeClerque, but TJR comes in and gives it a techy makeover like none other. I hadn’t heard much from Mr. TJ Rozdilsky since his remix of “Spinal Scratch” by the one and only Thomas Bangalter, but I’ll be looking out for this guy in the future for sure. To put it modestly, we here at B&S have quite an infatuation with Nightriders, DCUP, and Grum. As Patrick said in an earlier post, these are matchups we dream of. The previews of these songs, part of the Get Hooked EP released today, melted me inside. The full releases... well that’s another story. Both remixes are distinctive in their own way, but the DCUP remix is probably my favorite at the moment; his vocal chopping ability continues to win me over time and time again. Grum, meanwhile, takes a progressive approach with wonderfully layered builds and drops, which , as I write this, have now begun to question which is my chosen favorite of the two (as I realize I've now listened to it almost 10 times in a row)... Miles Dyson, who was made known to me via his inclusion in Moby's legendary live DJ sets, has come out with a new electro track which can only be described using the words HUGE and GIGANTIC. It samples C-Mos' "2 Million Ways" to set the mood, after which it destroys any previous ideas of what you thought the mood of this song might be. Released last Friday on mau5trap records, this track from Moguai is an emotion-laden journey to the long lost land of Euphoria, where this song is played when children are born. It seems Moguai has been taking lessons from label boss deadmau5: the sophistication of the drums and the synth work approach the elevated level of the mau5's own productions. I would say this is the best song of this whole post, but what do I know, right? Frenchman and BNR label member Djedjotronic has here crafted some of the best techno to ever grace mine ears. When I hear this song, I am struck with awe and fear to think that Djedjotronic coaxed these unprecedented noises out of some sort of computer.
