Grab Bag

The latest and greatest from Mr. Sidney Samson, this one was massive enough to find its way onto Moby's recent Beatport chart (alongside some other rather prime beats).
Sidney Samson - Punkass (Original Mix)

This next one is a really chill, more downtempo track, perfect for late nights or  similar listening situations. Also be sure to check out Sei A's recent mix for Resident Advisor's podcast series for some more super high quality "afterhours bass-inclined tunes."
Mash - Somebody's Property (Sei A Mix)

Although I liked certain elements of it, I could never really fully get behind the new Swedish House Mafia single. Something about it felt a little too cheesy and almost boy band-ish for me. But lucky enough fellow Swedish producers Style of Eye and Carli (from the Savage Skulls) have breathed completely new life into it and made a total banger on this remix.
Swedish House Mafia - Save The World (Style of Eye & Carli Mix)

A classic from french techno producer Mikix The Cat.
Mikix The Cat - Keep On Wondering (Original Mix)

Eric Prydz has tried his hand at remixing two Depeche Mode classics recently, Personal Jesus and Never Let Me Down Again. Both are pretty great efforts, and showcase Prydz's massive production skills. Check my favorite out of the two below.
Depeche Mode - Never Let Me Down Again (Eric Prydz Remix)

One of Mumbai Science's most recent releases. As per usual from the Belgian duo, this one is an amazing blend of futuristic synths and a vintage pounding techno feel. Released on Boys Noize Records, you can buy it off beatport here.
Mixhell - Antigalactic (Mumbai Science Remix)

And finally a really gorgeous mash up of the classic I Remember with some vocals from a Late Night Alumni track off of their most recent album Haunted.

Oh and, I can't wait for this to come out:

Stop Hitting Yourself

From the new Ed Banger release, "The Bee Side", we get Breakbot's newest tune: Fantasy (feat. vocals from Ruckazoid). If you've followed Bright and Shiny for a while, then you know that I have a slight obsession with Breakbot. Frenchie extraordinaire strikes again with this latest funk laden track.

If you want the low quality radio rip to tide you over until an official release, have it:

I enjoy the rounded, deep, kick drum on this track. Style of Eye nailed it with this remix (Sweden is so talented). The synth hook that comes in around 1:38 is a great addition to an otherwise exciting song. Progressive haaauuus.

Noah Lennox, from Animal Collective, released a solo album entitled Tomboy a few days ago. On it was this beautifully layered track. Not the most original track I've ever heard, but still pretty great none the less.
Justin Faust always manages to work his way onto my all star playlists. This track just makes me want to dance forever and always. Bass line yes yes.

Bonus:

I don't know who Mr. Ho is... but he made a nice edit of this disco track.
Donna Mcghee - Make it Last Forever (Mr. Ho Edit)

We Came Here to Get Retarded

Fact: Louis La Roche makes some of the sweetest filter house around. This collaboration with Patrick Alavi should satiate your grooving needs.
Louis La Roche & Patrick Alavi - Until Now

I've got a little teaser of a new Fake Blood track for you all today. Not really sure what to make of it, though I think the title suits its quirky synth sound very well. Honestly, the bassline kind of remind me of "Mars", which remains as one of my favorite tracks of all time. Anyways, check it out and see what you think.
Fake Blood - Medieval

UK radio smasher Herve is certainly a master of the artform that is the remix, churning out dance-floor bombs with seemingly little effort. This mix of Moonbootica's "Tonight" does well in illustrating my point, thumping along with some fat ass drums and well executed stutters and breaks. This is disco on steroids.
Moonbootica - Tonight (Herve Voodoo Chilli Remix)

Everyone and his mother knows that Congorock has the ability to construct diabolical banger tracks that will simply make you lose your shit (...Babylon). He demonstrates his city-leveling prowess again in his remix of Benny Benassi's latest release, "Electroman". Points off for crazy ass T-Pain lyrics though.
Benny Benassi feat. T-Pain - Electroman (Congorock Remix)

Style of Eye popped into my radar when I heard that strangely addicting goodness that was "Antidote". When I was checking out Harvard Bass's new EP and I saw he had taken a stab at "Pruno", naturally I had to take a listen. I was subsequently bombarded with noises I can only describe as scary and strange, but it made me dance like a crazed monkey. Absolutely check this one out, but you might want to keep the lights on.

Mondays Are For Monster Mash

Mondays... back from the untamed wilderness of the weekend to the responsibilities and commitments of real life. Or at least that's what it seems like... However, after years of research and clinical trials, I've discovered a fool-proof method for making sure that, as Soulwax says, "part of the weekend never dies". This method consists of finding the biggest and baddest tracks around, and then proceeding to assault your eardrums with them at the loudest possible volume. If employed correctly, the result should be somewhere between a decent boost and the inability to stop moving your body like you're caught in some sort of tribalistic dance circle.

This first song has been dropped recently by big names like Crookers and Felix Cartel, and it looks as if it's about to be one of the biggest songs of the fall. Antidote is a gem straight out of sweden with a drum pattern strobey enough to send an epileptic into a seizure.

Style of Eye & Magnus - Antidote

Kids At The Bar have done a reworking of the new Deadmau5 & Wolfgang Gartner single Animal Rights, and it's simply out of this world.
Deadmau5 & Wolfgang Gartner - Animal Rights (Kids At The Bar Edit)

Magnetic Man have been making a lot of noise with their recent self-titled LP. Up first we have a Steve Angello Remix that's absolutely massive... the buildup takes about two minutes, but the drop is well worth it. Angello seems to have a knack for putting together the most epic synth lines known to man. The second is a Bright & Shiny approved track off of Magnetic Man's new album that comes at the request of one of our loyal fans Stephanie.
Magnetic Man feat. Katy B - Perfect Stranger (Steve Angello Remix)

Magnetic Man - I Need Air

Up next, some jungly and bangin' progressive house from even more swedish djs
Jerry Ropero & Denis The Menace Ft. Jaqueline - Coracao (Sandro Monte & Andres Cabrera Remix)

Los Angeles' response to Dada Life, Religion have been one of my favorite up-and-coming acts for a while now. Known for their monstrous remixes and energy packed live sets, Religion have done it again with this genre-defying reinterpretation of M.I.A.'s Steppin Up.
M.I.A. - Steppin' Up (Religion Remix)

We warned you that we might have to keep throwing up remixes from Martin Solveig's world-shattering Hello EP. Michael Woods effort here is nothing short of incredible, so I'd feel remise if i didn't share it with you.
Martin Solveig feat. Dragonette - Hello (Michael Woods Remix)

Let me start of by saying that Uffie is pretty awesome. For whatever reason though, halfway decent remixes of her can be hard to find sometimes. Which is strange, considering she's on French super label Ed Banger. Far Too Loud have done here what few others have managed to do, putting together an Uffie remix that's entirely worth listening to.
Uffie - MCs Can Kiss (Far Too Loud Refix)

HOMEWORK
This is probably the only time you will ever see me post dubstep. Unless i keep hearing stuff like this, that is. Bassnectar manages to blend the stylings of dubstep with the rhythm hip-hop into something wholly irresistible known  as Dub Hop.
Bassnectar - Wildstyle method

Just for fun..
Justincase - Teach Me How To Say It Ain't So
