Flight Facilities Special + The Swiss

Guys, there is new Flight Facilities on the horizon. I've been absolutely playing out the first single off their new EP, Foreign Language, which came out about a month ago. And I couldn't be more pleased to tell you all that they just released yet another single: 'Feeling'. Everyone get excited for this to drop, and be sure to checkout the all star cast of artists that have remixes on the EP.

Foreign Language featuring Jess is a smooth disco track with intoxicating vocals and a beautiful jazzy bass line. The guitar riffs and the subtle percussion are all so tasteful... I pretty much feel like James Bond when I listen to this track. I just killed the bad guy and now I'm relaxing with my gorgeous, low maintenance, lady friend on a tropical beach somewhere far away from reality.

The second track that they just uploaded to their SoundCloud brings a little more heat. A punchier kick drum and an energetic guitar line make this track the epitome of dance floor friendly. Give me more funk. This EP is shaping up to be excellent.

The new Jan Driver EP, AMT, which dropped on the 5th on Boys Noize Records, is a fearsome collection of electro & techno noises that I highly recommend to all of you, with each track guaranteed to pack a fat fucking punch on any decent subs. My two picks from the assortment have to be "Golden Super" and "Raveyard". The former happens to be the black sheep of the release in that it strays away from those darker sounds, instead providing the listener with more than a healthy serving of thick-cut funk. The latter couldn't be more different, dishing out scary amounts of heaviness and distortion rather than happy bass-lines. As I said before, they're all worth a listen, so check 'em out through beatport here and grab the promo quality mix of "Raveyard" below.

I feel like it's been a while since we posted some more disco-y, filter house type jams on here, but fortunately I just got a hold of these two guys and I haven't been able to hit the pause button on either yet. The first is a remix of a Spiller track from a young gun who helped get me so into the EDM scene in the first place, Louis La Roche. The second is an edit from Italian disco king His Majesty Andre off the latest Ridney release. Both are uplifting, disco inspired anthems that pack the perfect amount of punch, and that you won't stop dancing to if you got any sense in you.

This very well may be my favorite track of the entire summer, coming from none other than T.E.E.D., who has seen a meteoric rise in popularity in the dance music world recently. It's tracks like this one that show why everyone's all over this dude. He gives Friendly Fires the remix treatment here, blending some sun-drenched, almost low-fi sounds with brilliantly knockin' percussion and vocal chop-ups (lots of hyphens in that one). It'd be criminal to give this one in full quality freely, so grab a 192 copy below to hold you over and support the release on beatport for that 320 goodness (it's so worth it).

Always love getting stuff from the La Bombe label, which was started by one of our favorite producers (and past interviewee) Sharooz. They sent over this monster release from their own BEENS and Dachstuhl and even a quirky remix from Southern Fried's Nom De Strip. And finally, I share with you all a preview of "Blotter", a new, acid filled & french touch inspired track from Decalicious off their Blotter Notes EP, soon to be released on Guys N Dolls Records. I cannot wait to grab a full copy of this track, which has already seen big support from huge acts like Mixhell, Shameboy, and even Digitalism on their latest tour. This is the first I've heard from this duo but I strongly doubt it will be the last; keep an eye out EP's drop on the 15th.

HEY! Long time no see... I've been the laziest blogger ever lately. I would say I've been super busy with school, but that would be kind of misleading. I've actually just been so demoralized from the all the work that I'm neglecting to do that the guilt prevented me from accomplishing anything, even things that I love (like such as: music blogging). ANYways, I'm back and I'm here to bring you the best tunes from around the worrrrrlllld. Enjoy your weekend; for me.

I'm totally late on this one, but it really really deserves to get praised. La Bombe's own Stockholm duo, Blende, recently came out with a killer EP that features two originals and one awesome remix. The first track, featured below, is a really neat electro thumper. The song continuously evolves throughout; starting out very Siriusmo-esque and sprinkling in some beautiful Daft Punk influences, eventually culminating in an extremely well rounded track that has been on repeat for weeks. Just head on over to beatport and buy this whole EP for your own sake.

Blende - Egypto by La Bombe

The next track on the EP features a very vocoder Chromeo sounding vocal line that just oozes funk. Nu disco vibes all over the place on this one. That bass synth that comes in around 1:04 is great, it really gives the track some momentum. I'm pretty confident that based on the well executed diversity that Blende has presented with this EP, they are on the up and up (and up).

Lastly, the Louis La Roche remix. How could you not love this guy. Keeping much of the integrity of the original, LLR shakes things up a bit and turns this one into pure French touch gold. Disco for the win.

Chris Moody, the man responsible for the absolute bomb that was his remix of Justice's classic "We Are Your Friends", teams up with DJ Riz to turn this Boney M hit into a bone-afide (see what I did there?) floor filling house jam.

There hasn't been a Tensnake release that I've heard I haven't thought was perfect. Hercules & Love affair's "My House" garnered a lot of love from the B&S crew, but this remix from Tensnake just takes it to another level entirely. This is how house music should sound.

Pleasurekraft have really started to grow on me the more I've listened to their stuff. Masters of the tech-house sound, these DC locals (reppin') have an insane arsenal to get people groovin' to heavy beats. I just heard this remix today and immediately purchased it. It's beyond good, and if it doesn't make you dance your ass off, you must have a serious physically or mentally debilitating medical condition for which you probably need urgent care. An undulating, whip-like flare noise lifts you off your feet, carrying you until the melody drops and the foreign, tribal vocals begin to pulse above a softly beating drum, building and building into a massive drop that'll smash you right back into the floor again. It's a doozy.

I've got a little teaser of a new Fake Blood track for you all today. Not really sure what to make of it, though I think the title suits its quirky synth sound very well. This mix of Moonbootica's "Tonight" does well in illustrating my point, thumping along with some fat ass drums and well executed stutters and breaks. This is disco on steroids.

Everyone and his mother knows that Congorock has the ability to construct diabolical banger tracks that will simply make you lose your shit (...Babylon). Style of Eye popped into my radar when I heard that strangely addicting goodness that was "Antidote". When I was checking out Harvard Bass's new EP and I saw he had taken a stab at "Pruno", naturally I had to take a listen. I was subsequently bombarded with noises I can only describe as scary and strange, but it made me dance like a crazed monkey. Absolutely check this one out, but you might want to keep the lights on.

The crazy dutchman, who says his name comes from the classic Gin 'N Juice by Snoop Dogg, has been on a rampage recently, releasing all sorts electronic fire ready-made to destroy your speakers. I like how he's been able to distinguish himself from his numerous uber-talented countrymen by not sticking to the typical dutch sound, but rather by branching out in a whole bunch of directions to demonstrate the depth and versatility of his talent. This first track, a remix of Do! Do! Do! by Carte Blanche (aka DJ Medhi and Riton) and Kid Sister, demonstrates just how wide a range of sounds Mr Luke is easily able to synthesize together into a coherent whole. The song weaves between miami-vice-type upbeat house and relentless euro-electro. The result is a monstrous club banger that feels reminiscent of (my personal favorite Laidback luke song) MSTRKRFT - Heartbreaker (Laidback Luke Remix)

Ever since my man Sir Real pointed out this awesome collaboration between Louis La Roche and Duck Sauce in one of La Roche's mixes two weeks ago, I've been desperately trying to find a copy of it because anything even remotely related to those two artists is worth my/your undivided attention. The song is as groovy as you would expect from Duck Sauce, but it has a distinct french-house/louis la roche touch to it that really makes it irresistible. After sifting through loads of crappy radio rips, I finally found a nice edit/refix that should hold you over until the release.

Alvaro
I don't know if you guys have heard the new Black Eyed Peas single, but it's surprisingly house-ey and enjoyable. They were some of the first pop artists to recognize and embrace the electronic revolution (they played at Ultra last year and Will.I.am is a frequent collaborator with man of the moment David Guetta), so I guess you have to give them some respect. Alvaro brings some dutch-style amplitude to this track, beefing up the airy house-synth section and introducing an explosive, monster drop to balance it out. The result is this song has something for everyone (a great weapon for any DJ).

I hopped in my man petey's car the other day, only to hear this relaxing and awesome remix of Buzzin' coming out of the speakers. I asked him what the song was, and I was surprised to learn it was a Classixx remix I hadn't heard of. Classixx are the bomb; something about their productions seems to have this warmth and lushness to it that's really unmatched by anyone. This track may not be new, but it's thoroughly incredible, so grab it below if you don't already have it.

First up: NEW DUCK SAUCE. That's right, Bright & Shiny favorites and disco-house master craftsmen Duck Sauce have a new track. Now, its far from released, but the new track, tentatively titled "Goody Two Shoes" can be spied around the 40-minute mark in an absolutely smashing mix done by Louis La Roche for Australian radio station Triple J. Champagne Records is at it again with what looks like a delectable release from Bright & Shiny up-and-coming favorites Dom & Le Batman. This is just a one long preview of the whole EP, so I don't have a favorite yet, but I will say that the drums on the Jay Wesley remix are straight SILLY. The EP is out November 20th on Champagne Records.

Louise La Roche has been on my radar for a while now but had never managed to really impress me with the consistency of his work until now. Sure he's always been good, but sometimes his productions seemed a bit uninspired. Those days are long gone. La Roche has been killing this french filter house sound for months now and this track is absolutely no exception.
