The Game

First thing's first: SBTRKT's eponymous LP was released just this past Tuesday and it's positively inspiring. The production is spacious, the textures exquisite, and the vocals enchanting. His decidedly post-dubstep UK sound is wholly original and executed with such precision it's no wonder that this man has been receiving heaps of praise for his work. The cohesive beauty of the album is something not often found in electronic music, yet here it is evinced on SBTRKT's rookie effort, no doubt a testament to his precocious sensibilities. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: this is the EDM Album of the Summer. Check out two select tracks from the album below and support SBTRKT by buying the whole damn thing here; I promise you won't be disappointed.
SBTRKT - Pharaohs (Original Mix)

SBTRKT - Right Thing To Do (Original Mix)

Continuing with the bass music, this next track from Kid Gloves caught my attention because of it's uniquely genre-defying sound. Equal parts bass, tech, and fidget, this track is all funk. Show the Kid some love and check out the b-side, a banging french house jam, here.
Kid Gloves - Music Power (Original Mix)

DJ Skeet Skeet goes off, crafting a thumping banger out of a vocal, some 808's, and some funky mallets. Simple, yet effective party music.
Mattie Safer ft. Ninjasonik - That Your Girl (Skeet Skeet Remix)

I think I might be going soft. I haven't posted any off-the-fucking-wall dutch house in ages and I can see it every time I look in the mirror. Here's some good, old fashioned dutch house from 19 year old, American TON!C and this message is Sir Real approved.
TON!C - Me (Original Mix)

That's right, it's back. This is music should be enjoyed at maximum volumes; music that should be felt and certainly not listened to. Huge tracks from progressive house legend Fedde Le Grande and whiz kid Hardwell.
Fedde Le Grande - Metrum (Original Mix)

Jake Shanahan & Sebastien Lintz - Passion (Hardwell Edit)

P.S. The first 5 readers to send me an email at cargain@brightshinymusic.com naming the novel this cover art originally appeared on will get stickers sent to them so god damn fast it'll make their heads spin.
