It's Over

Well it's been a long week, what with midterms and Augustus' harddrive being fried, leaving him out of the rotation temporarily. But, that's all behind us now; it's about time we get to enjoying ourselves.

Chaz Bundick is back as Toro Y Moi and this time instead of sounding like excited pop-soul, he has trimmed the fat, resulting in a more mature approach. "New Beat" sounds like future-disco in all the right ways.
Toro Y Moi - New Beat

Bart B More's back at it again, manipulating classically house vocals and knowing exactly which synths to use to make the dance floor purr. Speaking of which, if you're in the Chicagoland area and are of 21 years of age (or have an impeccable fake ID), be sure to get to the Mid tonight to see Bart B More and Tinie Tempah!
Skydrive ft. Linda Newman - I Know Better (Bart B More Remix)

Two HUGE progressive house jams, the first from Swede John Dahlback and the second from the combined, prodigious talents of Thomas Gold and Axwell.
Benny Benassi ft. T-Pain - Electroman (John Dahlback Remix)

Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers - Blow Up (Thomas Gold vs. Axwell Remix)

Bass Kleph kicks it balearic-style on this one, with intriguing relapses into classical strings before the drop. Try this one on for size when you need some deepness.
Moguai, Westbam - Original Hardcore (Bass Kleph Remix)

SIR REAL

Talk Is Cheap

Less talk, more...music.

NC vunderkid Porter Robinson smaashes "Seek Bromance" with this remix the way he seems to smash everything he touches, by slamming together the dirtiest bits of trance, electro, and dubstep into one filthy sound. Not recommended: playing this anywhere near the vicinity of your local retirement home.
Tim Berg - Seek Bromance (Porter Robinson Remix)

Some deeper, proggy type goodness from a man who grows nearer and dearer to my heart with each release I hear from him: Bass Kleph. Beauutiful drop around the 4:00 minute mark.
Jesse Voorn - Somewhere (Bass Kleph Remix)

The French just do it better. The piano synth line in his remix from Ed Banger all star DJ Mehdi is absurd. Everything else ain't bad either.
Eli Escobar - Love Thing Pt. 2 (DJ Mehdi Club Remix)

It's hard to resist checking out some good o'l Bart B More that I haven't heard before. Stumbled upon this edit yesterday as I was browsing through some older Fred Falke goodness. The Dutchman takes an absolute classic from Falke and his longtime co-worker Alan Braxe and gives it a bit more thump, certainly making it easier to mix with, but still maintaining its original sound and feel. How about I give you both?

The musical marriage of two disco-house heavy hitters could never be a bad thing. Second City Rhythm, aka longtime friends Ghosts of Venice and Adulture, just released their first production for free on their soundcloud. If that's not a deal I don't know what is.
Second City Rhythm - You Got Me

And finally, I give you a preview for a release I'm verrry excited about.I hope Highbloo is on everyone's radar at this point, cause the dude's got talent. "Time to Change Pt. 2" sounds like a dance-floor destroyer. Is that a Michael Jackson sample?

I Drank Too Much

I had about 30 tracks I was tryna post this afternoon, so here is the creme of the cream. Check out that space monkey, right?

So Grum is making beautiful full-fledged futuristic soundscapes at this point... propers are due to the 80's synth master.
Gamble & Burke - Let's Go Together (Grum Remix)

Louis La Roche knows how to put the "groovy" in "groovy french house." Haha I'm an idiot.
Boy Crisis - Fountain of Youth (Louis La Roche 'In the Discoteque' Remix)

In Augustus' absence (he's rafting in Oregon, the shit), I'm posting this song off a mix CD he left in my car. This track would scare the pants right off your grandmother.
Mightyfools - Amsterdam ft. Guerilla Speakerz (Dem Slackers Remix)

Vandalism vandalized this song. Thank goodness for them, otherwise I'd never feel completely comfortable listening to Katy Perry.
Katy Perry - Teenage Dream (Vandalism V8 Club Remix)

I saw this a week ago but I didn't want to post it until it had a name out of respect for its makers... deadmau5 & Wolfgang Gartner. Together. On one song. If this doesn't excite you, get the fuck off my blog.
deadmau5 & Wolfgang Gartner - Animal Rights

Obscure yet dirty electro grooves out of Berlin for your soul.
ULTRNX - Rockstr (GhettosexXx Remix)
