As you guys may have noticed, Julio Bashmore has been a name on the tip of all our tongues here at Bright & Shiny ever since we heard the sensational "Battle for Middle You" for the first time. Put simply, his sound is completely mesmerizing. It's a breath of fresh air in an often over-saturated market of fist pumping electro. It's music you can groove to in a dark sweaty basement with your eyes wide shut. People in the electronic scene like to throw around the saying "house music is a feeling" often, sometimes undeservedly. Frankly, it's that phrase exactly that comes to mind when listening to Bashmore's music, yet it doesn't feel cheesy or cliché in the slightest. Take a listen to his bubbly remix of Mosca's "Tilt Shift" or let the deep sub bass frequencies of "Footsteppin''" tickle your bones and you should have an idea of what I'm talking about. Be on the lookout for big big things coming from this young Bristol based producer in the future.
