Little Boots just dropped her new single, "Shake", and I'm quite pleased with her new direction. Thanks to the impeccably tasteful James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, her new track has a wonderful bouncing bass line, subtle and graceful synth work, and snappy pop percussion. I'm not entirely thrilled by her vocals... they have their moments, but overall I find the melodic lines pretty lackluster. It's definitely worth the listen.

What really has me excited though is the Azari & III remix that was commissioned for the release. Taking the original in a marcher darker, deeper direction, they toyed with the bass line and added a lot of bizarre falling synths that create a great dance floor sound. It seems like they are on the same page as I am about the vocals, because they seem to have taken and enhanced the better sections for their remix. Anyways, the best part of it all is that their remix was put up for free download on her SoundCloud... So have at it.
